- Comment on Mass Effect 1 is still my favourite sci-fi game of all time 2 days ago:
My favorite game of all time is Star control 2, and this was the closest thing I could imagine to a modern version it.
They simplified some of the planetary resource gathering, ship upgrades and exploration, and I was hoping they would expand on that in the sequels. Unfortunately they did the exact opposite and simplified it even further.

Yep, I don’t remember the exact phrasing, but in these situations, I assume incompetence before I assume evil intent.
Maybe it is intentional but the incompetence is in how obvious they are.

I’m surprised they added voice/video chat. One report of a pedo talking to kids on their switch and no parent is gonna buy any Nintendo products for their kids

Interesting, I wonder if the games with a bigger improvement is more CPU bound than GPU bound

Taking the most naive view here, but is there any chance, increasing the price will in any way prevent more layoffs in the video game industry?

It’s like a new turning test to be able to tell if something is satire or an April Fools joke.

Yep, it’s how magic eye images work
- Comment on Windows Recall is secretly installed on non-Copilot+PCs (Privacy Nightmare) 9 months ago:
Interesting way to put it. The first thing it made me think is that if they did the 2nd part entirely within your PC, would it be ok privacy-wise, and would the consumers be ok with it?
I haven’t looked into the current iterations options, but I think I still want the option to turn it off. Personally I’m less concerned with privacy and more concerned with it using up my computers resources.
