At least you’re doing something valuable
- Comment on Tell em his dreamin son 1 day ago:
Is this really Bunderberg merch? I mean if it is there’s surely someone who’d buy it at that price. They look more like someone’s DIY projects, though
- Comment on You won: Microsoft is walking back Windows 11’s AI overload — scaling down Copilot and rethinking Recall in a major shift 2 days ago:
Understand that they’re not doing this because of user feedback; they’re doing this because shareholders got cold feet about the whole thing after the backlash (so indirectly it’s still down to user feedback, but not really)
- Comment on I used an original iPod Nano in 2026, and it worked surprisingly well 2 days ago:
The regular iPods (non-classic) are the easiest IMO. No glue, no flipping over mainboards and no soldering. The iPos mini is actually the first modell I ever did a battery swap on and it would be just as easy, if it wasn’t for the trim pieces that break way too easily.
- Comment on I used an original iPod Nano in 2026, and it worked surprisingly well 3 days ago:
And the battery is an absolute nightmare to replace on any of the Nanos…
- Comment on I used an original iPod Nano in 2026, and it worked surprisingly well 3 days ago:
Surprise surprise
- Comment on 'I'll believe it when I see it': Windows 11 users are cynical about Microsoft's promises to fix the OS and stop pushing AI 4 days ago:
The damage has been done. And honestly, Windows 11 changed my life despite its shortcomings.
So thank you, Microslop, for making me embrace Linux.

As if SpaceX could actually do that

Too right, brother
- Comment on The TV industry finally concedes that the future may not be in 8K 6 days ago:
It’s about time the technology industry as a whole realises that innovation for the sake of innovation is rarely a good thing

That’s actually a good solution
- Comment on Apple to Soon Take Up to 30% Cut From All Patreon Creators in iOS App 1 week ago:
I hope Patreon will just switch off the ability to pay through the iOS app, along with a nice fuck you-message to Apple

That would be a fitting fine, wouldn’t it?
- Comment on Eric Schmidt: ‘Europe doesn’t have an AI strategy. If it doesn’t invest heavily, it will end up using Chinese models’ 1 week ago:
I think it would be best for the EU to just wait for the bubble to pop and save themselves from spending millions on useless shit that doesn’t even work that well
- Comment on Astronaut Katherine Bennell-Pegg named Australian of the Year for 2026 1 week ago:
2026 has just begun, though.

The slopiest AI and the slopiest engine, finally they could come together.

Dude, you never had "social permission to do this in the first place, none of us asked for this shit. You’re literally destroying the planet and our future for you personal gain. You useless waste of space.

- Comment on Wine 11 runs Windows apps in Linux and macOS better than ever 3 weeks ago:
Tried that and it’s good, but more of an alternative to WinAmp, rather than foobar IMO. Foobar is soo much more customisable.
- Comment on Wine 11 runs Windows apps in Linux and macOS better than ever 3 weeks ago:
I tried an Affinity-specific for of wine before, not sure if that’s the one, but it was very slow and crashed a lot. Although that was a few years ago, I’m sure it’s gotten a lot better.
- Comment on Wine 11 runs Windows apps in Linux and macOS better than ever 3 weeks ago:
I’m glad I don’t really have any apps that require windows any more (apart from Affinity, which doesn’t run in wine that well).
Foobar2000 genuinely works so well in wine that I forgot there wasn’t a native Linux release.

- Comment on Leaked Windows 11 Feature Shows Copilot Moving Into File Explorer 3 weeks ago:
I knew that the “standard” KDE apps have windows versions, but Dolphin?
Edit: Looks like the newest version of Dolphin for Windows is from the development branch and was made in 2022.
- Comment on Leaked Windows 11 Feature Shows Copilot Moving Into File Explorer 3 weeks ago:
Does it? I know KDE used to make a Windows version back in the day, but I didn’t know that was still in development.

I don’t know if I’m right, but Tony Burke seems kinda based from what I’ve heard about him so far
- Comment on QWERTY Phones Are Really Trying to Make a Comeback This Year 3 weeks ago:
I’m intrigued by the Titan 2 Elite. Never owned a Blackberry myself (or never used one as my main rather) and I’m typing a lot on my phone so it would be an interesting experience to try the Titan. Looks quite nice as well.
I heard that Unihertz isn’t exactly the best at supporting their phones, though, and I’m not a big fan of Mediatek either. The Communicator looks good, too, but I’d rather go with a brand with a history of making phones, rather than cases.
