Google didn’t respond to Ars Technica’s request for comment.
To be fair, I don’t really see why they should. Chances are they didn’t factor in that level of stupidity when designing those things.

I’m pretty happy with Tidal so far; I tried Qobuz back when I was looking for an alternative to Spotify and I remember the Android app being borderline unusable. I might be misremembering things though.

And I have PDO pressings of Faith No More albums that are 40 tears old and have just started to rot. Common occurrence with PDO pressings apparently; one manufacturing error is all it takes.
