It is my opinion this article is a symptom of the current culture that being fat is some sort of moral failing. The fact that they can tie it to some vaguely tangible monetary cost is the justification.

I tend to always read these, both when I sign up and when there are changes. Idk if I ever felt that it changed significantly at all from what I expected originally. They are “updated” annually and when a new law passes so usually it is no change or something about the new law. Basically usually if you consented to the original privacy policy, updates are unlikely to have anything surprising and new to change your mind. I guess unless it went from none to some/a lot of shared data!

Self reflection is important! It is good to ASK yourself these questions, and ask others even. It is not good to ruminate on the questions or doubt yourself because of lack of confidence. And if your answer is always that you were wrong… idk maybe seek therapy. Sounds like a trait of a chronic asshole or a chronic doormat.

Have you spent your entire life raised to put more weight in others’ comfort, opinions, achievements than your own?
It’s REALLY easy to gaslight someone. Congratulations, you’re not a predator who seeks out/recognizes these qualities in someone for you to take advantage of.
It IS common. It exists in many forms of abusive relationships. The fucking problem is that the internet is stupid as fuck and doesn’t understand what gaslighting is. If you start to question your intelligence, memory, etc because your partner is always contradicting you, just them, yeah that’s gaslighting. Disagreeing or the person is being a jerk and saying those lines doesn’t mean “you’re being gaslit” it’s a process and state of mind and being. You can be gaslit to believe your father never spent months painting himself blue trying to get into the blue man group, but that’s if you are convinced! Someone telling you that your dad never blue himself trying to convince you mean you were gaslit.
Also lying isn’t gaslighting. The point is someone questioning or changing their reality.
Sorry for the rant. I’m very passionate about abuse awareness and can’t self edit so well.

- Comment on Games that still need more patience: what games released a year ago (or older) are you waiting for a sale on? Or that need another patch? 4 weeks ago:
I’m waiting for persona 3 remake and p5 tactics to go down because those games always seem to eventually be on sale for around $20 after ~12-24mo and I’m behind enough on games it is worth saving the $40+
- Comment on Monthly Recommendations Thread: What are you playing? 4 weeks ago:
Thank you! It’s actually on sale on playstatiom for $5 or free with ps+ extra so I am definitely going to check that out!

I genuinely preferred vanilla! I couldn’t elaborate on why, especially avoiding spoilers, because my memory is too hazy. However I do think I’m in the minority I’m just giving you my support you’re not alone if you didn’t feel the same. Have you had the chance to play p5 strikers?
Honestly depending how far you are in royal, you might even enjoy royal more if you take a strikers break in between. Strikers follows vanilla ending anyway.

I just finished portal 1 & 2 for the first time! I was let down on the lore and story. I think if you were around on the internet when portal 2 came out in particular, you might understand. It just had so much reference in pop culture without explanation, i expected there to be more once you had context. I was let down.
That said DAMN these are excellent and fun games that are accessible to any player. The games are designed with fantastic visual clues to help you understand new puzzle elements. They are fun, not challenging to a frustrating degree, and the game is structured where you really can just play a bit before dinner or something.

This is some corporations are people bs they are trying to get away with. This wasn’t about greed over a couple hundred bucks, it’s about precedent and boy were they trying to set a harmful one for the consumer in ANY industry that utilizes AI with customer support, perhaps other applications as well.

Some states honor the state minimum wage which is higher than federal and the tips really are just extra. Just so you know, whatever it’s worth to you.

You’re not wrong, that’s the logic behind it. It’s not like you’re defending it so idk why you’re getting down voted! What you also didn’t mention is that at these restaurants is that it is a much more leisurely meal and experience, so there isn’t high table turnover which lessens the tips. I suspect they also have smaller sections.

25% ??! Damn I remember when it was 10%, or maybe just the tax if you were cheap. The American public is way better at giving underpaid workers wages that keep up with inflation than the government!

It’s actually one of those things that varies for each person, how extreme they are with vegetarian. They might avoid anything that contains geletain including gummies because it requires an animal byproduct to make.
Eggs and dairy are not part of an animal carcass. You don’t have to kill an animal to enjoy it.
Vegans believe using animals for any food (or maybe even product) is wrong so they avoid eggs, milk, dairy, etc. Or maybe it’s they are vegan in that they only eat eggs or whatever from their own free range chickens.
Basically often both diets are often moral choices so there can be as much variety to how restrictive or serious it is just like any human will have variety in their morals details even if there is overlap on general idea (ffs just look at Christianity)
And oh there are people who are vegetarian just because they don’t like the taste or texture of meat!
Sorry for the ramble I found this really interesting when I became friends with people who have different diets. It’s interesting how much variety they can have.

Dude you know they were referring to covid relief and not LOANS. “On what grounds” they said, obviously that’s not referring to paying back a loan and instead on what grounds would you have to pay back RELIEF funds.
