Maybe some kind of write-off that only creative accountants know about?

If it is too hard, I'll be ok if they just skip it and won't charge it.

So who is using it? Where are tools which allow you to set up and manage the infrastructure? Why it can't be disabled, except hacks, and one undocumented feature requested by NSA, because they did not want it running? It is a backdoor, if it wasn't it would be disabled by default and you would have to pay premium to have that feature enabled.

Intel Management Engine is a component that has access to your computer on a level that even you, the computer owner, don't have access to. It can be operated remotely, even when your computer is off.
And traditionally you can't even disable it (remember, you're not the trusted party in that mix).

In an ideal encryption, the resulting data should be indistinguishable from random when doing statistical analysis.
So yes, such data will be really hard to compress, so typically compression is done before encryption.
Now here's a twist. The compression before encryption can reveal some details about the encrypted data. This is especially true if attacker has a way to generate encrypted message with part of information that is being encrypted (for example some kind of token etc).
There were attacks on it. For example https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CRIME or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BREACH (this was during that idiotic phase where vulnerabilities had those lame-ass names and they even created webpages)Ideally compression would be done after encryption, but because of issues described earlier, that wouldn't give any benefit.

I anyways park the crazy straw style.
- Comment on What alternative to 'postman' are you using? 1 year ago:
I don't really use any tool. For my stuff I use FastAPI which generates swagger UI, and when troubleshooting I interact that way.
- Comment on Google's trying to DRM the internet, and we have to make sure they fail 1 year ago:
This was true when Chrome first came up, they even made those ridiculous ads, which Opera (before they stopped developing their own engine) was ridiculing: https://youtu.be/ZdirsXNaibo
Firefox after they they rewrote their engine to be multithreaded (I think it was called project electron?) is faster than chrome that is currently very bloated.
What saddens me the most that, while there are ignorant people who don't know better and use what are they familiar with, there are also self proclaimed techno geeks, who are equally ignorant and don't seem to remember the times of Internet Explorer.
