“communist”. Define please, or I’ll assume you’re in high school.
CCP? Soviet state? RCP? Are they still around ? Gimme a break.

As an aside, “communist” has a very specific meaning, and I think (hope, assume) people here are using it like exaggerated lefty. But it’s not at all. The high school debate team type definition is long since dead. It generally means a forced expropriation of citizen wealth. Ala ccp or the Soviet state (notice, plox, that that is deceased). Does anyone here really want that!??

Broadly speaking, so-called conservative folk are not creative. They resist change, and trying new things is umm trying new things.
Weirdos like me LOVE CHANGE and novelty so you can probably guess which direction I lean.
Trans and queer and furry and weird folk are often programmers and creative folk. ActivityPub is written largely by and for queer and trans and furry folk. So no surprise it’s so strongly supportive of individual expression and rights.
Is anyone surprised that everything the chump crowd touches fails?

Well the solution to that is obvious…

I tuck my t-shirt into my underpants and pull them way up, just to be sure.

Seriously it’s like no one knows how to use the internet (erm, to learn about teh innernets).
When in doubt, Wikipedia.

This was all done decades ago…

In the internet biz since 1993 here (retired): choose your registrar as carefully as your domain name.
Lowest price is the dumbest reason. It’s never the way to choose anything. ID what your needs are, what satisfies that, then shop for the best price…
Anyway at the moment for my purposes the EU with it’s gdpr and other rules is the best choice for many reasons. I’m using joker.com.
Top level domains (.ml etc) have their own rules, you gotta read them carefully. I don’t know anything about .ml and whether they allowed that usage or not.
- Comment on Apple says it will remove services such as FaceTime and iMessage from the UK rather than weaken security if new proposals are made law and acted upon. 1 year ago:
I wonder how many complaining actually read even this bland and uninformative article.
At issue I believe (because it is not stated, but discussed elsewhere in better venues) is that UK wants to be able to see inside encrypted comms and files, under the guise of CSAM detection. Apple is right to oppose it.
Arguments based on hypocrisy real or perceived in other venues (china) has nothing to do with this decision its just piss-taking. Give it a rest.

Wow that’s pretty good. Well structured code to work like this.
