- Comment on Subnautica 2 is coming in 2025 with four player co-op - here's the announcement trailer 5 weeks ago:
I know it says in the article that single player is a viable option, but I hope they don’t just increase the grind to justify the co-op.
Some of us don’t have friends.
- Comment on Would you recommend any of the Star Trek games? 2 months ago:
I liked ST Online. End game kinda sucks for me, but the episodic missions I found to be fun and enjoyable n line (mostly) with Trekness.
And it’s free. Download, do a Federation character, then switch it up with a Klingon/Romulon character.
It’s by no means a perfect game, but it’ll scratch an itch if you have it.
- Comment on Dune: Awakening – Exclusive Gameplay Reveal 2 months ago:
From my quick search and bad memory, it can be played solo, but it looks like combat requires a group to enable all the feats and abilities. Doesn’t look like they’re implementing a solo build that can do it without some serious grind. But I’m sure someone will game out a solution.
I will probably still take it for a quick spin if the reviews are good, but as an old dude who can’t dedicate time to MMOs to be good at them, I’d just rather all games be made to suit my particular tastes. /s

Shame it’s an MMO. Looks pretty though.

This is a decent and fun 4X game. Definitely worth the new price if you enjoy those games.

I’ll take that bet.
How would you like to pay me?
- Comment on YouTube’s ad blocker crackdown now includes third-party apps 7 months ago:
Yup. I was willing to watch one or two short ads before I watch a video, but the mid rolls and unskippable 30+second ads just made me say “well that’s enough of that”. Now I haven’t seen a YouTube ad in a long time.
- Comment on PROOF 7 months ago:
As I understood it back in the old times…. The Flat Earth Society was a groups of logical rationalist who got together and for shits and giggles (as well as practicing rational debate) would pick an indefensible argument (eg. the earth is flat) and attempt to use rational arguments to support that indefensible claim.
Basically a rowdy drunk philosophers get together.
- Comment on nice for a holiday, i presume. 7 months ago:
From my understand (degree form YouTube), our understanding of what is needed for life is liquid water and free energy.
Which means earth like is most likely, but there are other alternatives. For example, the moon of Jupiter (Titan iirc) is ice covered but has liquid water beneath the surface, and the gravity of Jupiter should provide the free energy so that’s the Vegas favourite for finding extraterrestrial life within our solar system.

WTF is a Sims movie going to be? It’s literally a virtual dollhouse, there is no unifying story to tell.

While I don’t disagree…. I’d just like to say, that if you pay enough for porn, you can get exactly what you’re looking for.
ROI isn’t worth it though.
- Comment on how did "step" porn become so popular when we did such a good job keeping scat and insest porn out of the mainstream for so long 9 months ago:
AFAIK, it’s not the legality per se that keeps the actual incest off the provider, but that credit card companies won’t allow their cards to be used to pay for such services.
But I’m just a regular pervert on the internet. I’m only parroting what I read online.

I was disappointed by the lack of Pathfinder. To the point where I think this author isn’t credible.
BG3 is a much prettier game. And by a lot.
But the Pathfinder games are a more immersive adventure.

Thanks. I honestly couldn’t recall them in any official canon. But I am playing STO at the moment and they’re in that as allies of the Klingons so I assumed there was more to their story that I just wasn’t remembering.
- Comment on Inside the ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ Season Finale: Evil Gorn! Shocking Ending! And Introducing [SPOILER]! 1 year ago:
While I agree that Trek is all about finding common ground, I just hope they don’t humanize the Gorn too much. While I’m no Trekologist I don’t think the Gorn become “friendly” until much later in the time line (like late TNG era). Someone nerdier than me please correct me if I’m wrong.
I’m a little alone on this from what I can see from various forums, but I like the hideous and alien format of this iteration of the Gorn. I hope they continue to at least Cold War this relationship for another season or five.
- Comment on Would you work for a corporation that you oppose ideologically, if the pay is good? 1 year ago:
I consider most “for profit” corporations as corrupt and amoral.
So, yes. Those are the only ones who pay close to a living wage.
- Comment on ‘Lower Decks’ Headed To The Big Screen For Star Trek Day; Interactive Novel Coming In 2024 1 year ago:
Examples?
I, and many others, think this is great Trek. I’m just curious if you can articulate what you find un-Trek about this show.
FTR: All other Trek we’ve had so far has been essentially from the perspective of the elite of the Trek universe. Now we’re just seeing the universe from the “worker class”. It’s just a different perspective, but still holds to the ideals of Roddenberry Trek I feel.
