- Comment on Netflix Windows app is set to remove its downloads feature, while introducing ads 5 months ago:
We do. Because it’s the only streaming app that has a very large catalogue of local shows and non western shows that is available in our country.
Also we pay because it’s our servicing and nothing you say will change that.
That said.
I pirate shows from Amazon, Disney, hbo, Hulu, paramount, etc. Simply because I chose Netflix to pay because they were the first to not snub our country and offered their services and I choose to not pay for other platforms, because it’s expensive to do so.

Why not use a rake? It exercises you and doesn’t pollute. Plus it can make you laugh if you see someone walk into it and gets slapped cartoon style in the face.
- Comment on Reddit locks down its public data in new content policy, says use now requires a contract 6 months ago:
Yes all of our norms are a social construct. But pretending that another person is more superior than another simply because the other OP aligned themselves on one of these social constructs is very ridiculous.
Just let others live their lives, let them choose what they want, let them suffer the consequences. I hate seeing the other OP forcing their belief on others. Just live and let live.

If you post your name and address in a corkboard in a public hall. You shouldn’t be angry if the mayor or anybody uses your name and address for their benefit. Nobody forced you to post those publicly. Morality is just a social construct anyways.

I also pay for premium and during the time that I was testing out the free spotify to judge if I’m gonna subscribe… I also used musixmatch for the lyrics.
My opinion is opposite yours. I find the lyrics being a paid service as justifiable. Since spotify is also paying for the service of having these lyrics available. And also they may use it to entice those who are in the fence.

Feng shui has colors and elements and numbers and orientations and all of that. Shapes. They do have that too.
It’s a rabbit hole. Believe me.

- Comment on Which is the best Lemmy app for mobile? 6 months ago:
Last tim I tried Summit, was months ago but to tell you the truth. It was one of my favorites! it’s definietly better than thunder and boost. One app that i can compare it with is Eternity and Connect. The reason why it did not reside in my top three is because of my preference, there is a feel to an app that i am looking for, I really cannot describe it, I did not feel it with summit, but Eternity had it. But technically speaking. Summit is one of the very good apps for Lemmy, you will not regret it if you choose to use it.
to be frank, Voyager is the least of my three. Eternity did have all i was looking for, unfortunately it seems that it has been abandoned.
- Comment on Which is the best Lemmy app for mobile? 6 months ago:
Eternity was great, but it’s likely abandoned now. I switched to voyager. And this is a nice clean app. No complaints from me.
Worth noting that I tried all the available apps from the lemmy app list. And I’ve worked them down to 3 liftoff, eternity and voyager. Two of these are abandoned now.

yeah it gets distributed in the economy and gets absorbed in the system. at least it’s not being hoarded or funneled outside the country.

lol is this a discrete Kagi Ad?
- Comment on Reddit embracing all out enshittification 6 months ago:
also remember the ineeeedit sub? they initially nuked it due to companies using it to secretly sell products then reddit realized they themselves can do it.
- Comment on Reddit embracing all out enshittification 6 months ago:
social media corporations can be made liable under the law, well how about here in Lemmy, where the instance owner may not even know that companies are creating bots and posting discrete advertisements, or hiring trolls to advertise for them?

I browse All and block any subs or users that are toxic. After a month. My All feed is enjoyable and I get the benefit of not missing any new subs or content that pops up.

I second this. Once I see plex and lidar and self hosting . My attention wanders. Then snap back and my mind says “torrents, got it. Thanks”
- Comment on Music Piracy Is Back, Baby 9 months ago:
Well if that happens, then there’s always piracy. But until then. I’ll use my family account. Because I don’t have the resources to download all the songs that my other 4 family member likes.
Or, since I cannot download each and every song they like, I’ll turn to another form of piracy. Revanced yt music.
