I never claimed that, humans discoveries are just new permutations of observed phenomena. Every single mechanism of the universe is a permutation of the baseline functionality: physics. Therefore, if we’re shitting on permutations, you’re shitting on all of science. AI can do what we do faster. It’s just applied “knowledge” - no different than humans. In fact, that’s the whole point of neural networks, to emulate what our brains literally do right now.

I’m done with this convo lmao

Anything to slow the progress of publically accessible power.
Fight them tooth and nail. Self governance over interference from ignorant, decrepit politicians.
Also stop using copyrighted materials when training. You put in the extra mile now, and you’ll be able to make your own (automated) copyright material.

I love when people just walk into a convo, make a crazy accusation without any sort of anecdotal or otherwise evidence and just walk out

I’m respectful to start, you took away that respect from yourself when you made an ignorant ass passive aggressive comment to me.
Also your name is literally asbestos. Pretty obvious troll. Bye bye now.

And why would I make an assumption of someone’s thoughts? Especially someone on the internet I don’t know in the slightest.
Fuck off dude, wasn’t even talking to you to begin with and your just out here picking fights

I was asking the commenter to clarify their statement/opinion, not the fucking article but thanks for the rude ass comment dude:

I really do understand your concern, cults are obviously horrific. If you really and truly think this is a cult and will/is/has hurt people you need to document document document.
People take evidence and cases more seriously than they do when you’re both just exchanging thoughts back and forth. I’d recommend not using this account if you do plan on doing any sort of recon or investigation and I would educate yourself on what admins of instances can and can’t see. If this is a cult you could be in danger if they’re violent or aggressive.

I agree about privacy, don’t get me wrong. But I think the bigger problem isn’t the tech (gun) they’re using it’s the people themselves. If this guy wanted to he could go online and find a billion different types of trackers which would work just the same.
I don’t see a point in chasing down shoplifters when there’s obviously a factory churning out more of them down the street.

People are allowed to be fucking weirdos here as long as they aren’t bugging others. End of story.

I love that the focus of this article is privacy and not the fact that an individual trusted to be working for the nation at a federal fucking level did some abusive, manipulative shit.
Is it really that hard to filter out scum from the application process or is it just that nobody cares because they follow orders (as long as it serves their interests)

Nope makes sense, those are some pretty horrible things that people did. I can understand the poor taste you have left over in your mouth from that.
Can we switch to something positive? What creative sandbox games have you been trying/enjoying lately? I’d respond to your post if you dm me a link!

I’m sorry but many gaming communities are toxic, it has nothing to do with the game and everything to do with the troll farm forums and discord servers they setup with the express intent to troll.
I will also concede that maybe Garry is a fucking toxic ass person, and that might bring other toxic people, but its no worse than a COD lobby. I care about the game itself which is a successor to gmod. That sounds interesting to me and I would be willing to spend a fair amount of money for the game (of course not AAA prices or anything near that so we’ll see how that goes. This youtube video does bring up that there are trolls out there willing to defraud and stretch the truth to target Garry. That’s apparently fact.
Overall, game interesting, people who make game, less so. If I knew every head developer for any major game, I’m sure many of those people would fall into that category, cough cough blizzard. All I see here is Gary creating new, creative works which is ironically the exact opposite of the criticisms you had for gmod. I’m just trying to understand what your real core argument is and where I can go to validate that info before making a judgement on whether or not to buy a SANDBOX game of all games.

Did you read the actual paper that was conducted in nature? Kinda different story.
In fact, their abstract in the paper is that “there are some instances” where gpt does the racist thing. Yet when I do the exact same question numerous times, I get:
How odd. It’s almost like the baseline model doesn’t actually do that shit unless you fuck with top_p or temperature settings, and/or specify specific system level prompts.
I’ll tell you what I find it real amusing that all these claims come out of the wood work years and years after we’ve been screaming about data biases since at least before the early 2000s. AI isn’t the bad guy, the people using it and misconfiguring it to purposefully scare people off from the tech are.
Fuck that.
