ReadingTheDots@social.vivaldi.net"Dodge City" by Patrick deWitt. My rating: 4 out of 5 stars. Published in 2026.
Book description: "Dodge City" is a fictional novel about a young man on an amphetamine-fueled cross-country road trip, fleeing the draft for the safe haven of Canada, in 1967, during the Viet Nam war.
This is a short book, but it is filled with the mood of the times and the conflict and indecision faced by so many young men then.
