This week I was reading (finished today) 'A Plagued Sea' by Kim Bo-Young.
This very slim novelette is a Korean take on the Cthulhu myth and Lovecraft's 'The Shadow over Innsmouth' but more from the perspective of the villagers.
It also became a rather nuanced look at either the COVID-pandemic response (directly mentioned by the author) or the response to HIV/AIDS (my interpretation).
In all, a really great read.
Since I finished that, I got to start 'The Red Sacrament' by Sara Hinkley.
The only thing I know about this book is that it focuses on a 19th century theater in Paris and vampires. We'll see if it is good.

I'm also still listening to 'King Sorrow' by Joe Hill.
I am enjoying this and the narrator is pretty excellent. There is also a dragon of thought and nightmares in it. I can be easily pleased sometimes.
