This book has been on my Spooky Reads TBR since its release in 2022 and I finally pushed it to the top of the list. And I'm delighted I did so! It's a creepy and oozy SF postapocalyptic gothic novel that almost seems like a homage to 'The Thing'.
Still with #SpookyReads2026, I am listening to 'King Sorrow' by Joe Hill.
Hill has definitely settled in to carrying the torch lit by his father (this book has had direct references to both 'The Dead Zone' and 'The Gunslinger', and it surely will connect somehow to 'The Eyes of the Dragon').
I find Hill's prose to be rougher than King's, but it will be good enough if it means more stories like these.
