How would economically hurting a blue state to spite a red state be an actual thing?
In reality I think the real issue is the insinuation that it’s to cripple Texas is flawed, reactionary and not very well thought out.
Not to say Biden is perfect, in fact he’s not. I think it’s more likely he’s doing this as something to point to and show his base that he’s doing something for the environment. It’s buying votes, which isn’t much better.

Texas is basically doing Fort Sumter 2 out in Eagle Pass, Biden needs to respond appropriately. The Texas governor is a traitor and the federal government should step in to take over the government of the state and take him prisoner. Reconstruction Redux.
