Every summer, like clockwork, Nextdoor has several people surprised that their electricity bill is “so high”. They never say how much they’re using, just that “it doubled since last month!”. Some people don’t seem to understand that the air conditioner set to 70F uses a lot of electricity, when it’s 105F outside.
