Yea, SquareSpace really don’t fit this channel.
I believe hosting provider and the software installed should not be tied together.
Need a summary bot to read this wall of unformatted text for me.
Oh shit I better tell my CEO because nearly all of our servers are running linux :(
I am professional, I use linux. How do I notify the author?
I’ve been using Linux as my personal and professional workstation since the 90s. I get things done. The OS does what I tell it to do without trying to sell me things or throw toll around nonsense in my face.

It all depends on the pro and the type of software needed. Linux is great for a lot of things. But there are a number of things that are not its fault. Which it lacks for many professionals. Namely certain software availability. The os itself is fine

I absolutely agree. For me the most lacking part is media creation software. Neither Adobe nor Affinity apps are available and no, GIMP is not a Photoshop replacement despite many users claiming it. The non-destructive workflow is severely lacking.

At least for video editing, there’s DaVinci Resolve.

Sorry I work in VFX, we’ve been on Linux desktops for 25 years creating pretty pictures. All the professional packages are there, Maya, Nuke, Māri, Houdini all work perfectly.
