why would anyone care about warning labels? is it to prevent lawsuits?
Putting warning labels on things reduces the negative health impacts and helps consumers make healthy choices.
and yet people willingly and knowingly continue to put unhealthy, poisonous, even mutagenic materials into their bodies. no, warning labels are literally only there as a CYA (Cover Your Ass) for manufacturers.

You can read this metastudy if you like. But the short answer is yes. That’s why health warnings are added to things. It’s not done just for the fun of it.
