But…adding more frames slows the game down. If it could render more frames already…it would be doing that. It didn’t need an extra, very intensive process to analyze, interpret and then recreate the entire rendering from scratch (but not perfectly) completely separately from the actual render engine and then splice it into the game.

Frame Generation already exists. The real problem is input delay being massively increased when in use, even with latency lowering tech like Reflex.
