How to stop vivaldi asking for crash reports??

"Vivaldi encountered a problem - Automatically share problem reports with Vivaldi to help fix and avoid future problem" Don't ask again does not work!!

I'm waking up to this rainbows thing everyday despite the only "crash" is me closing the browser on the previous day, how can I stop this stupid thing appearing, I don't want to share crash reports cause half of my operating system is outdated and its not even crashing!! the data is useless junk to you guys and this popup is useless junk to me!

if I was better at writing I'd have wrote about this years ago when it first started to bother me, you can't blame someone for being angry at poor design choices which include a button that probably only works when you click "send crash report" and lies to you the rest of the time.

Frankly I just came here expecting someone to say "this is expected behaviour and we aren't changing it" but at least my frustrations are known.

I've been getting that popup for years and every single time I tick the "Don't ask again" checkbox then close the popup, it doesn't matter if a real crash actually occurs or if its one of these fake crashes I've been experiencing recently, it happens on both vivaldi stable and vivaldi nightly on multiple computers covering basically all of the versions released in those years, it is absolutely a design choice to make it impossible to opt out of submitting crash reports and not having that popup come up every single time a crash is detected.

  @FunkeymonkeyTTR When you come into the saloon guns blazing, you can expect the regulars to fire back. We are all volunteers here, no-one gets paid to say "Oh poor you we are so sorry about your terrible issue".
  
  Maybe if you had been polite about things, someone could help you try figuring out why you get these crash report popups even with that setting turned off.
  
  As it is now, that probably won't happen.
  I generally recommend users to simply ignore topics that start like you did.

I appreciate you trying to make me look thick but I stated I DON'T want to share crash reports, there's only one setting related to crashes and that is "share crash reports by default"

  What do you expect here in the forum using that kind of language?
  I tested this before posting, disabled the setting, restart Vivaldi enable the checkbox "Don't ask again".
  Then I restart Vivaldi 3 times and the popup doesn't show up anymore.
  If other users can confirm it doesn't work for them either we can think about a bug report.
  Please, always add your Vivaldi and the OS version.
