Alright, I wasn’t expecting return-by-death; my respect for Yuri went up even more.
If I was in Yuri’s shoes, I would have just gotten rid of the original Yuri, then use that chance to gain as much information as possible for the silver key to break out of that loop quickly. After all, if the universe is going to get destroyed, the original Yuri never stood a chance of living on in that timeline.
