My child was premature and is only alive thanks to the good work of the neonatal doctors and nurses. This is hugely upsetting to read about.

A good friend had triplets at 6 months, and they were in the Liverpool Women’s Hospital, where apparently Lucy Letby worked (several years later thankfully). I found the fact that she killed two triplets really upsetting; I’d imagine a lot of people are feeling particularly upset by this because of personal experience of neonatal care and premature birth. Gonna give my mate’s now 17 year old lads extra big hugs next time I see them. Hugs to you too.

Thanks! Ours was born at 6 months too. This news is particularly upsetting when you know the stress of visiting your baby in hospital for months, and every time not knowing whether they’ll still be there, or if they are there whether they’ll have had a life-changing medical setback. I think it left us permanently changed emotionally, just to go through this. You have to put so much trust in the medical professionals, and everyone we dealt with (many years ago now) was just great. Glad your friends got through it. Best wishes to them and their kids.

One has to wonder how far back her intent to murder literal new born babies originated. Last year, when she got the job, when she was getting her degree, further back? How long and hard has this woman been working towards murdering babies?
Ought to just pump her veins full of air and insulin. See how she likes it.

This is exactly where my mind went. I can't imagine she was just leaving school and decided becoming a nurse would be the best route to killing babies. Or maybe I just don't want to.
A common thing with killers is that they enjoy the rush, I wonder if that's something that developed while she was working, as in she felt that during her legitimate duties and had to push it further and on her timetable.
A monster, regardless.

Despicable vile creature. She needs to die in prison.

It's an almost identical case to the Beverly Allit one, right down to how badly it's been managed. Has the NHS honestly learned nothing on how to handle suspicious activity on its wards?
My cousin's children were born in that very same hospital years ago and it just makes you worry so much. Can't imagine what those families have been through. At least they've caught her now...

Did she ever specify why she did it?
