Having both volunteered and done drugs the high/ enjoyment you get from them are very different. Plus there’s also things like situational context. No one is passing round deprived kids who need their school dinners paying for at their parties but they do often have cocaine. Finally if you’re looking for a good time and some quick, easy fun drugs are just way more accessible than the noble alternatives.

Lots of actors never get into drugs, and lots of other people do anyway. We’re just more aware of the actors because they’re living under a spotlight.

Weird dichotomy here. I have literally talked with fellow volunteers at a food pantry about my plans to go home and get stoned afterwards.

Drugs are awesome. That"s why. They make you feel cool new feelings and, if you are careful, can be safe to use. Helping people costs a lot of time and doesn’t make your body feel awesome. It’s the same reason regular mooks drink beer and liquor instead of helping the homeless or elderly.
