Pretty odd name for a restaurant – it’s a derogatory term to describe foreigners, like a Greek restaurant named “Barbaros”.

That’s neat! Does it make a difference that they would be the foreigners in my country? Are they making fun of themselves?

It seems to be a term directed at white people, so no, probably not… I don’t speak Hindi, I just remember seeing the etymology of Ferengi a while back.

FERINGHEE - India, usually disparaging : a Eurasian especially of Portuguese-Indian descent www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/Feringhee

    3491 W Frye Rd, Chandler, AZ 85226

    lol, they even have feringhee.com

It looks like a pretty decent menu, not just the usual BIR type stuff most places have that all tastes basically the same (not that I usually mind.)

I would definitely eat there if I were in town. Being called a pejorative would be a small price to pay for delicious Indian cuisine.
