The physical edition will ship on a game-key card worldwide, as revealed by a new video about game-key cards (English, Japanese) released today by Nintendo.
I think this is the first big-ish Nintendo release to use a key-card.
I have no interesrt in 70€ temporal licenses.
So it’s just a fancy physical code? You don’t have to write it in the shop… Wow
Worse. You need to use the card to play the game, even though it’s just a key to unlock downloading the game. Worst of both worlds.
In 10 years piracy will be the only way to play this game

That’s already the case for like 75% of pokemon games since the 3ds eShop closed, iirc
