Manga review: Chi no wadachi (a trail of blood).
A great title for a heavy subject, only if you can stomach its content.

Nice review. I read Chi no Wadachi a year or two ago and I agree it can be difficult to read.
Considering the theme of the blog though, I think the review should read more into the politics of Chi no Wadachi. There’s a mention of incest which I think is also present in Chi no Wadachi. The author (Oshimi Shuuzou) likes to add perversion in his works and I feel there is a sense of eroticism between Seiichi and Seiko but its “horror-eroticism”. It’s interesting to think about.

@hitagi @cm0002 Thanks! I did not see more important points in terms of politics in that manga, do you have something special in mind?
As for the incest, I did not get into details in the review to not spoil anything. But yes, there is some incest tension that comes out of the intense mum/son relationship and contributes to the horror..

It’s been a while so I can’t remember much of the details anymore. I do think there’s some more politics in there somewhere but I’ll have to revisit the manga. Maybe a second reading will reveal it.
