Today’s game is some more Silent Hill f. I’m loving the game’s New Game+ so far. I won’t dive into spoilers, but i really like it. I love when game’s handle their New Game+ in that way. I will say though that if you’re not the kind of person to play New Game+ or enjoy multiple playthroughs it will hurt your experience. It will seem a bit short to some people i’m sure.

Now for the actual (somewhat) spoilers. While i was doing the Dark Shrine section, i went into the room with the Rabbit Coop. Last time i was in here i did notice the blood, but i just brushed it off as “Spooky Ambience Blood”. I couldn’t have been more wrong though, as there’s a note from Sakuko discussing how she chopped the rabbit she named Hinako up. It’s one of those moments that make you stop and appreciate the little details, while still being heavily perturbed.

Some of the cutscenes are different too which i like. I had been worried it wasn’t going to really be any different outside one or two little changes, but nope. There’s full some pretty major changes. I was hoping for some differences in Sakuko, Shu, and Rinko’s death scenes. But i’m not sure where the narrative is going so maybe it just wouldn’t work.

I got this pretty shot of the school which was nice too look at. There was nothing dangerous here so i just relaxed and watched the field for a bit. Silent Hill has this weird thing going on with the fog where it’s relaxing and scary at the same time. It reminds me kind of like when i was young and it would be early morning and raining. I’d be waiting to go to school. I didn’t expect to be getting nostalgic over this lol.

The school was a little different this time too. A lot of the doors were unlocked from the start which was interesting. Also one of the locker codes was just the word Egg(399) because the girl who owned the locker loves eggs. It’s the kind of random thing i expect to see out of the franchise.

Anyways, i had cleared the Shrine Entrance and stopped once i left the school. Hopefully if i get the time tomorrow i can finish my New Game+ run and maybe start NewGame++ which i found out is a thing.
