Use Pixelfed and get of the corporate cock already!
Only problem with that: nobody uses it. None in my target userbase.
Buy they do have Internet, don’t they? It’s just a website. You share your photos, they can click on the link to see them. And even then: Pixelfed can be added to your home screen as a PWA. 🤷♂️
I have a simple request to anyone at Meta who is listening: please, just give us our photo sharing app back. lol. Wake up, they’re not interested in what users want, they’re interested in selling your data and targeting ads.
they also want your face, facial recognition so they can incorporate it in to thier AI.

I never really changed the way I use it. I just post pictures and watch pictures. I’ve never viewed stories or tried any of those other features. It’s the pictures I’m there for.
