Bonfire seems cool, but the website doesn’t do a great job at explaining to me what sets it apart from other fediverse software.

- What is Bonfire?
- Why is an RC release of interest?

1 . As you could have guessed from the community this was posted in, a software that is part of the fediverse. It has various modules for different functionality.
- Because they made a long blogpost that explains the new features that you hopefully read before commenting?

Sorry, it’s just that there’s a bad habit going around on Lemmy at large, of lazy copy paste posting of releases of software without any description of what the software is or why the OP thinks this release is of particular interest, or why they think we should care.

Interesting , this would be good on a darknet because it’s a full framework.

The project is very interesting. After quickly browsing their website I understand that it’s a kind of a framework to build fediverse apps. It’s implemented in Elixir programming language and uses Postgres as a database. Looks like they are putting a lot is emphasis on community and cooperative aspects.
