this implies sexual (which yaoi and yuri usually not necesarily imply), and doesn't imply heterosexual

Yaoi and yuri only refer to sexual, shōnen ai and shojō ai are what your looking for

Yaoi and yuri at least used to denote explicit sex? Has that changed? Non-sexual was shounen ai and shoujo ai in Western fan parlance (Japanese terms are more varied).
