    Let’s see how long that lasts. I’m just glad I grew up on Sega in the 90s. It can’t be easy being a fan of Nintendo…

      It requires a ROM to extract the assets and levels, which so far has kept a number of reverse engineering/decomp projects like this one safe, even from Nintendo. Argument being that it needs to be your ROM that you dumped yourself of the game in question, which is legal.

      The majority of users are just going to download a ROM, but Nintendo hasn’t gone after these so far.

      I just got into romhacking and it's a wild world. I downloaded Mario kart 8 on the super Mario kart engine. Thought it won't run on my SNES clone. Have to try an emulator

        Hacks are great. I browse through the Super Metroid Construction hacks every few months to see what those crazy people are releasing.
