- Comment on Nexus Mods cross-platform app v0.11.1 brings full Cyberpunk 2077 support for Linux, SteamOS / Steam Deck 1 hour ago:
The new Nexus Mods App runs quite nice on linux. I’ve only tested it with Bannerlord as that’s the only game I own out of the 4 ones being tested currently and unfortunately it doesn’t launch directly from the app, but it does correctly deploy the mods, so after one has added the mods, one can launch the game from a preferred launcher like steam or heroic games launcher and it works.

It confused me that this was a left-to-right read.

I didn’t much like W1 and W2. Especially W2 feels like it’s on rails. The story is pretty good though.
- Comment on S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Edition is out now, needs a workaround on Linux 3 hours ago:
All 3 titles are getting review bombed on steam currently, apparently it’s a low-res blurry mess.

- Comment on ‘Massive’ increase in pensioner shoplifters in past year 1 week ago:
He added: “Retailers don’t tend to involve the police when they’re dealing with pensioners. Stores tend to want to handle it on their own.
“It’s not good publicity for a supermarket if it got out that a pensioner had been handed over to the police for shoplifting.”
Sounds like the numbers could be higher then, if it’s not getting reported.

But at least UK is free of the EU bureaucracy
- Comment on How my ultimate SimCity 2000 setup helped get Apple sued [15:26] | This Does Not Compute 1 week ago:
This video was recommended to me many hours ago, and I wanted to see some SimCity2000, but instead it’s a video primarily about Apple hardware problems. I’m sure this is interesting to Apple cultists, but I was thoroughly disappointed.

To be fair, it’s a pretty rage-inducing proposal.

Hahaha, “save on electricity bills”, sure that’s totally what’ll happen.

Why did I read that as “hotmeal pro”. WYSIWYG editors from that era had pretty weird names, huh?

They’ve been emailing me daily since I began the account deletion progress. Of course it’s one of those crappy “it takes 7 days just because, and if you log back in, we restart the timer!”.
For comparison I recently deleted my NordVPN account and it was instant. - Comment on BONE COLLECTOR 2 weeks ago:

- Comment on ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ Was Denied 2-Hour Finale Movie, Says Sonequa Martin-Green 4 weeks ago:
That’s a shame. Not that I’m into Discovery at all, but the best series finales are always double-episodes. I quite literally just watched DS9’s finale earlier today, and it would’ve felt way too rushed if it had just been a regular episode.
- Comment on Fedora Linux 42 is out now with KDE Plasma Desktop promoted and x86 programs on ARM 4 weeks ago:
I did notice my RSS downloader having downloaded Fedora-KDE-Desktop-Live-x86_64-42 from distrowatch, but I wasn’t entirely sure if it was the real deal or still beta.
- Comment on Tesla accused of hacking odometers to weasel out of warranty repairs 4 weeks ago:
Who would’ve guessed that part of ones morning routine before going to work would be to take a picture of your odometer to ensure not getting scammed. I guess it isn’t that surprising after the VW emission scandal where they ran a different configuration, reducing emissions, whenever someone was testing the car.

I’m about to go through Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex because of “the laughing man” storyline being kind of reminiscent of a certain CEO shooting that took place in December of 2024.

Although the video they refer to in your link is about going faster than the wind in the direction of the wind, there is a cool explanation about tacking in it. Both great videos btw.
- Comment on Wind/solar motorcycle [with 50 km solar/wind range] looks like an April Fools' joke ... but it's legit 1 month ago:
This is the kind of silly design I was thinking of 25 years ago as I was cursing the headwind on the bikepath on my way home. Not the solar panel roof, but the windmill.
Doesn’t it generate too much drag to be of any use? - Comment on Don't forget to remove it. 1 month ago:
The static in the first panel means their arm is sleeping. The static in the next panel, well…
