Reminder that the amount of data collected in the underlying data has decreased (not “officially” due to budget cuts, but … there have been budget cuts and staffing reductions): www.bls.gov/cpi/…/collection-reduction.htm
Perpetual reminder to watch other related measures: PPI (too be released later this week) and CPE (to be released in a couple weeks). I expect all 3 to continue to increase if current political and market conditions don’t change.
