If you’re like me and thinking the anime didn’t follow up on the end of second-last episode, when the guard saw a flash in the bush, this short story gave more detail into what happened.

Originally distributed as a bonus with previous volumes of the novels, the story has been re-edited for this online release.

I also didn’t realize Sazen was the name of that guard and not just some random staff employed by Verdigris House in the last episode. Silly me.
