You aren’t stealing it. You aren’t charging fees that you know are unfair.
They are appreciating your work, and want you to have some of the joy that you have brought them. You deserve every penny of that money, and deserve the joy that is intended to come with it.
You deserve that money more than anyone who parties on a yacht does.
Besides, it only seems generous because you and them live in fundamentally different financial worlds. If they were actually generous they’d pay enough taxes for you to have fully funded education with a liveable stipend.
Donate some of it to charity.
