    ok but actually the Luna moth is cool as f%$# and easily beats all the other moths on this list independent of how they are being anthromorphized here

      My wife got a tattoo of a Luna moth on her wrist. She got it in on a whim in Austin while we were there for a couple of days before heading up to Dallas for the eclipse last year, so it has a bit of a special meaning.

      The tattoo itself came out great, but when my kids saw it upside down, they were convinced it was Mr. Crabs, and I think they might be right.

        Well yes, but there are animals that are like honda civics, beautiful in their utilitarian genius, reliability and incredible capacity, and there are the big old weirdos who are equally as beautiful but also just you can’t help but have an affinity for em.

        Doesn’t mean the other animals aren’t cool too, mundane nature is home, we see it as boring at our peril!
