I assume this is somehow going to tie into the Project Phoenix that was teased in PIC season 3. Can’t say I’m exactly champing at the bit to see Kirk in era of the Burn, but hell, why not.

I do wish the construction of the title wasn’t so goofy though. The La St Arship,

Generations is out the window now since the Kelvin timeline, so why not?

You must be quite behind on Trek. They sort of just gave up on Kelvin and returned to the prime timeline with Star Trek: Discovery back in 2017. They eventually canonized that the Kelvin timeline is just an alternate reality existing in parallel to the main timeline.

Yeah, I gave up on Discovery when they went 1,000 years into the future. I did enjoy the first two seasons though!

Strange New Worlds has been more my jam.

Generations happened before the Kelvin timeline rebooted everything, so there’s no reason to think those events still happened. :)

Didn't we already have this with a novel by Shatner right after Generations released?

Yep, William Shatner and the Reeves-Stevenses wrote a whole series of adventures for a resurrected Kirk. It starts with The Ashes of Eden, which mostly takes place between VI and Generations, and kicks into gear with The Return. There’s a bunch more after that. I liked them as a kid.
