I would watch the shit out of a Ramsayesque teardown of a walk in at my local restaurant.
But Health Departments want the restaurants to be good. Ideally every episode would be shitty without anything to complain about.

You would just package 2 of them in one episode and show the good sides of the restaurant. Fresh ingredients, clean facilities, etc as like a mini advertisement. They could be like adverts and incentivize the restaurants to let them film.
Plus not all TV has to be dramatic.

But do it is the UK kind of way where there isn’t shouting and conflict because the owners aren’t stubborn angry people but want their business to survive.

I think by nature it would be that way as they aren’t going to do a half dozen reshoots to get a dramatic conversation. It could also be a nice advertisement for clean restaurants. How reassuring would it be to see that your favorite restaurant is using fresh ingredients that are dated, stored and handled properly!

Yes, please!
Is it too much to ask that casual viewing doesn’t trigger any traumas these days?
