Can someone please explain who this lady is? I’ve seen her in other memes, they all have this “documentary host/ journalist” style. I presume she must be some well known journalist or news anchor?

Actually, she’s a comedian. These are from a show called Cunk on Earth, a mockumentary series.

Wait, there’s more than Cunk on Earth? Damn, I’d love to watch them some time.

She is Diane Morgan playing Philomena Cunk in a series of “mockumentaries”, where her ignorance of the subject leads to her accidentally dropping insightful truth bombs.

Philomena Cunk is a fictional character portrayed by British comedian Diane Morgan. She is known for her satirical and humorous take on documentaries, particularly in the series “Cunk on Britain” and “Cunk on Shakespeare.” The character is characterized by her deadpan delivery and absurd questions, which often highlight the ridiculousness of certain historical and cultural topics. Cunk’s interviews and commentary provide a comedic perspective on serious subjects, making her a popular figure in British comedy.
