Phil Urban, the chief executive of Mitchells & Butlers, said the group would not look to grow in that market because of the challenges it faces.
Mr Urban said younger people were straying from previous generations who would be more inclined to “go out late night and stay out”. “I think social media means that you don’t have to do that to stay in touch with your friends,” he told PA.
Perhaps Phil should ask a younger person? Or fund some research into this? I think he’d quickly realise it has fuck all to do with social media or home delivery. But no, more sports pubs are the answer.

In my friend group at least, when we see each other and everyone’s in town we’ll just throw a biiig house party. It’s just better on all aspect: the music because we chose it, the drugs because we decided together what we would bring, etc…
I would never go to a night club lol, none of those perks aside from some flashy light and DJ sets that I don’t even enjoy.

I like your priorities. Music and drugs everything else is delegated to “etc…”.

I have to admit board games ,& smash bros should rank higher but they’re not as fun as doing random jokes with your friends
