  My boss is a real one and will drop me a message saying can we have a word outside, p.s. it’s nothing bad.

  I am lucky that I found an employer who actually cares about us and the work is truly second to our mental health.

    I know they really mean it, but whenever I hear “it’s nothing bad”, my brain goes to the worst case scenario

  Reality:

  Someone found some issue that needs fixed yesterday and there is some important customer complaining about it so I’ll be busy for the next three and a half weeks

  Was on vacation a couple of months ago. During the flight home my boss texts me, “we need to talk”. Get it after landing. Freak out, cause how the hell did I get fired while on vacation for 3 weeks. It was about their retirement.
