Ah yes, blaming the victim. How didn’t I think of that! Next up: telling women it’s their fault when they get assaulted because their skirt was one inch too high.
To be fair, this isn’t the typical bullshit “look what she was wearing, she wanted it” victim blaming. It’s like watching every single person who walks into a room get punched in the face, then walking in, getting punched in the face, and then being surprised and angry that you got punched in the face. It’s like watching people vote for Trump and then being surprised when they get fucked by his policies that he very blatantly said he would enact.
Is it right that it happened to her? Of course not. Should people have done it to her? Also of course not. Was it extremely, painfully predictable? Yeah, it unfortunately was. It may not be her fault, but… What the fuck did they think was gonna happen? They’d sell porn people actually wanted but nobody would ever ever ever save a copy because they wanted it?
Two things here:
yes, it’s not good when vulnerable people get less income from their, eh, already kinda desperate work.
no, it’s not sexual abuse.
Can’t say I agree, but it’s an interesting perspective for sure. Although, given the problem literally cannot be solved by tightening the DRM and whatnot, so why don’t we fight the stigmatization instead? As in, people usually dgaf if they learn their friend is an accountant or paints 40k miniatures in their spare time.
This what troubles me about hearing revenge porn stories.
Pictures of you being naked are being used to hurt your reputation?
I’m not sure how to say it but something like, the people who thinks you did something wrong, are scum.
Performers? What a weird euphemism.
Why? Strippers are called performers or dancers.
Yeah I don’t get the hate, people soliciting sexual material that you then provide makes you a prostitute. Nothing wrong with prostitution but if somehow I get on a cam and encourage Bob to come on my command yet still not be considered one, then neither is Remy Lacroix
Internet be neurotic
That might be a reasonable take in some places, but much of the world distinguishes illegal prostitution from entirely legal sharing of explicit material for money. If painting was declared illegal but the technical definition of the law required canvas to be involved, then it wouldn’t take long for someone to invent a separate term for “painting without using canvas” just so we could discuss the not-illegal art without constantly having to clarify every other sentence that we aren’t talking about the illegal art.

Sharing leak is sexual abuse wtf? That s just theft content , not cool for the performer but some overmonetize their work so I see why you would want to share a 100$ video in return for other pricy content.

It’s not even theft, it’s piracy.

It’s not piracy, it’s unauthorised copying. No boats and murder here.

Damn, I can’t believe I accidentally sexually abused Kate Winslet by pirating Titanic.

If your girlfriend sent you nudes with the intention to only show them to you and you published them on Reddit would you consider that as simple theft as well?
felykiosa@sh.itjust.works 2 weeks ago
No in your case that is privacy and consent abuse The nuance is in the fact that its not public , in your case your girlfriend showed you her nude in a private place and you broke her consent by publishing it in a public place. In the case of an onlyfan worker it s already public just like all the more “classic porn” that you can pay or found for free on internet. I want to add that there are no judgment in what I say ,I dont discriminate sex workers , because like a majority of people I consume porn and I would be an hypocrite to do so .

Its down to preference but it is someone’s job at the end of the day. It takes work to create, edit and dignity. You are essentially dining and dashing from a small independent restaurant. Its the same reason why shoplifting from a chain isnt as bad.

I mean, why wouldn’t sharing sexual pictures and videos outside of the given consent by the performer be sexual abuse? If you perform in a porn video for a porn company and sign all documents, it is clear that you know and agree that the video will be sold publicly. If you send a nude to someone in private, you totally are not agreeing to be posted on the internet. OnlyFans is kind of in between - if you post something there for your subscribers, the consent is that the subscribers see the content after paying for it.
