The “neg” Kim Jong Un approach is not a Meyers original. Earlier this month, Fortune spoke to Harrison Leggio, the founder of a cryptocurrency startup called g8keep, who said his company has been flooded with applications from North Korean citizens posing as prospective IT workers around the globe. To weed them out, he told Fortune he ends interviews by asking candidates, “Say something negative about Kim Jong Un.” Leggio claims other founders he knows are asking the same thing to thwart the infiltration attempts.

as a way to discourage IT bro’s, we always put in women in the interview and give them the choice of questions to ask, and if they get bad vibes we let them unload.

This is a comically simple shibboleth. I’m not even sure you can even call it a shibboleth, actually, considering it’s just a simple screening for “I drink the NK kool-aid” lol

Can’t overcome the Juche!

I seriously believe this will work until someone from sufficiently high up tells them it’s OK to neg him for the Greater Good. But how high would they need to be to dare speak that out?
