America’s Biggest Wind Farm Arrives Just as Industry Heads for Declines | The biggest reason [for the decline] is President Donald Trump’s assault on renewable energy, and wind in particular

Strong doubt, you can’t run away from free electricity forever. The “Industry decline” is manufactured because they can’t compete with free electricity. It’s temporary at most.

I mean its not so much free as an energy multiplier. As far as I know we have not achieved mining and manufacturing exclusively from renewables. What cracks me up is the fossil fuel resistance when it actually solves a problem they have. They used to be able to get dozens of barrels of oil from one oil input but now we have some that we only get a few out for each. Renewables nices puts that multiplier back up.

Trump and his peculiar idiocies will be gone soon enough. Even if his fascist posse stay in power, I don’t they have any particular beef against renewable energy. The industry will be fine.

They do, simply because “the enemy” supports it.

That is why they politicized science and vaccines, because the only politics they have at all are opposing “the enemy”.

It’s not just “the enemy” & mdash; fossil fuels executices have long run the Republican party patronage machine. They’re opposed to renewables because they’ll lower their patrons profits, not because Democrats support them.

I feel like this will be another example of how trumps actions to curb stomp renewables will be beneficial to its development overall.

It’s challenging everyone involved to make it as efficient and effective as possible so that it will become the undeniable best option down the road.

Will it have made it better than if a sane person was in the White House? Who knows, but I don’t think it’s ever going to fold the way he and his cronies are hoping.

You can’t put up a wind turbine at all if you don’t have a permit to erect a tall tower. They’ve stopped issuing such permits if the tall tower is for a wind turbine.

Yes, but wind is only one of the many renewable energy sources. New technologies are being researched and slowly improved upon all the time. It’s only a matter of time before fossil fuels are undeniably obsolete whether old men painted in orange like it or not I’m afraid.

To be clear, the decline is in the first derivative. The industry is still growing, just at a slower rate than it was before.
