  This bombastic style of reporting isn’t helpful. The ruling doesn’t “strip” protections, it clarifies that Scotland made a law based on an error in interpretation of an earlier law, ergo those protections never existed. It further points out that the Equalities Act confers protections on trans people regardless.

  This is an opportunity to introduce the protections Scotland thought were in force, but actually.

  I don’t understand what the big deal is. You can still wear your dresses and call yourselves whatever you want, so what’s the problem? I’m in the US and, honestly, I could not care less what people want to call themselves. You want to tell people you’re a fuggin werewolf? Whatever. Keep the XY out of women’s sports and grown men out of women’s locker rooms and I’m good. I do not understand where we lost our lessons in biology and rerouted all common sense… And if you disagree, you are called “hateful” and are deemed a “bigot”.

      No, sir/ma’am. Not at all. I don’t hate anyone or care what others say or do. I just like the concept of common sense. It’s seriously lacking in the world we live in. I could give relative examples but I find it is pointless to waste my time as it is nearly impossible to hold intelligent, meaningful, and rationale conversations when it comes to this type of subject matter. No offense to you or anyone else intended. I don’t like to debate with emotional responses. Disagreeing is OK. That’s what keeps things interesting.
