There is a way to connect your phone. Wireless with Wi-Fi or on a network without using a Chromecast. youtu.be/RkpQqmNRXic

You keep spamming this video when all it does is tell people you have never bought a low-end tv in your life. A good chunk of TVs do not have any kind of built-in casting or screen mirroring, which is what the chromecast product line is for.

I actually have like tons of TVs that I buy from the thrift store, so that’s wrong. I’m just like obsessed with helping people find ways around Google. You can have a better experience with just finding an old dusty laptop. I would just get an old crappy laptop and a crappy monitor and call it a day. I usually use computers in an active way, instead of a passive way. I like to find solutions around big tech for pennies. There’s like a thousand ways to skin a cat, bruh.

“Buy new Chromecasts.”

Except that, despite their usual MO, they did actually fix it so people didn’t need to buy new devices.

Thats the vibe. In this case, it seems like they get more value from the signals they interpret from the devices already out there.
In a better world, these devices (and maybe even the Chromecast protocol) would be opens sourced

You’d think such as a simple protocol would be.
