  Also, can we “appreciate” how dumb this sort of word filter is? You don’t even need to choose between false positives (e.g. “Luigi’s Mansion” gets flagged) and false positives (e.g. people say “LM” and it doesn’t get flagged), you got both at the same time.

  (BTW if you want to avoid this sort of dumb word filter, just mix some Cyrillic letters into your word. “Luigi” would get flagged, but I bet that “Luіgі” wouldn’t.)

    People can just use Mario’s bro and if they censor Mario then Nintendo’s green bro. I wonder if people will use this opportunity to make Nintendo a word that ends up having to enter review.

  That’s what happens when you train your model by only feeding it positive cases. If you just count the times a word was involved in a post where a human mod banned/deleted, but not the times it was not… Then again how often were people discussing the game character outside of game related subs? Could simply be some truth to it when loads of people use the ‘to Luigi someone’ form.
