Funny how til relatively recently the postal service was a model of solvancy and effeciancy, then MAGICALLY when lobbiests made demands for htier own service, the post office was told they had to fund pension for the next… sixty years or so in advance. To say nothing of service they were nolonger allowed to do, such as… get this. The post office could at one time do small denomination banking. Anything below five hundred bucks in the sixties. Which would translate into a few thousand dollars now. Used to be something they could do. Then they couldn’t.
