  Trek always has been and always will be woke. As others have said, in Gene’s eyes it wasn’t even woke enough! (And he was right)

  1967: we have this bridge crew with a black woman, a Russian guy and a Japanese guy of whom everyone knew he was gayer than the 19th century. Yeah so not woke DEI

    They didn’t need DEI because they were naturally diverse (in universe, at least).
