Iâm not sure how exactly they multiply. Is it possible? Iâm a big fan of how the mama looks so itâd be great to get another.
All the babies mine make are parasitic, not enough chlorophyll in the leaves to stand on their own.
One of these days I will get one to survive.
My last one was almost translucent.

Alocasias propagate by these little bulbs, corms, which the plant uses to store energy. You can look for them when you re-pot the plant and pull them off without damaging the mother plant. They will root and sprout in high humidity conditions. For example, I usually stick any corms I find into some perlite and keep them under a humidity dome until theyâre well established.

Congrats, must be pretty happy there. Double check that this is a bulbous, which are easy to propagate. Wait till next spring so the offshoot can mature and make some roots. Itâs as simple as pulling them out of the pot together, separating the bulbs, and putting them into their own pots.
