BYD is heavily subsidized by China. Tariffs to offset the Chinese subsidies are reasonable.

Tesla stock is tumbling. Don’t blame BYD, blame Elon.
Elon has been running Tesla in easy mode where there’s basically no competition. Now that there’s a bunch of other electric car makers on the market he doesn’t know how to deal with that. BYD included, but they’re not there only one with valid competition.
Also, he’s a terrible person to have as your figurehead.

Big agree. We’d definitely be getting a Model Y if it wasn’t for the dogshit leadership. Instead, we are waiting for the Rivian R2 to actually come out.
