"Sweet Heart" by Peter James. My rating: 3 out of 5 stars. Published in 2007.

Book description: This book is a psychological ghost story about Charley and her husband Tom, who move to a remote mill house in the countryside hoping to save their marriage and start a family. Charley begins to feel a disturbing sense of familiarity with the house, and as suppressed memories surface, hypnosis only deepens the terror as she uncovers a dark secret from the past. The novel blends supernatural suspense with themes of memory, trauma, and buried evil, building toward a reveal that links Charley’s present fears to events long hidden in her past.

As I read this book, I could not get comfortable. Everything was continually out of balance, and I never found any sort of equilibrium. I'm not particularly a fan of books like that.
