  Also, it took me a couple beats to figure out what they meant by self destruct near the end. In this context, it’s a pretty apt turn of phrase since the prez is now out to kill him.

  It’s always a little bit jarring to be reminded of how fucked up the witches can be, in this otherwise wholesome manga. I don’t dislike it, but it gives me slight whiplash haha

    Broadly, that’s a good part of what I like about this manga - it’s so wholesome, except that it’s really not, except that it somehow still is. It’s a strange balance, but somehow it works.
